Trials and Tribulations
In Trials and Tribulations, Miss Beauchamp and Mr Darcy each have cause to regret decisions that were taken in haste.
The loss of her parents at an early age, and her subsequent sequestration in the home of harsh and neglectful relatives, forces Isabella to develop a degree of self-sufficiency and independence of mind that is not typical of young ladies of her age and social standing.
Although young and unworldly, Miss Beauchamp, who is as strong-willed as she is unorthodox, attempts to forge her own way in a world in which pathways to independence for most women are narrow, and often perilous, dead-ends.
Her decision to take charge of her own destiny leads to a series of events which challenge even her determined character, and which culminate in a most surprising outcome.
Trials and Tribulations is the Volume I of a trilogy of novels set in Regency England in the decade between 1811 and 1821.
Second Chances
In this playful reimagining of Austen’s Pride and Prejudice, Lynn Myers introduces us to Isabella Beauchamp, a young woman whose liveliness and charm rivals the heroine of the original novel.
In Volume II of the Isabella Beauchamp trilogy, Second Chances, our hero and our heroine each have cause to regret decisions that were taken in haste.
These two most honest and honourable of people find themselves enmeshed in a deep web of lies and deceit, the outcomes of which threaten their future happiness, and the very lives of others.
In Second Chances, Lynn Myers continues to surprise and to delight with her vivid characterisation and a plot line which answers the questions posed in Trials and Tribulations.

About the author
Lynn Myers lives on a lifestyle block on the east coast of Te Wai Pounamu (South Island) in Aotearoa-New Zealand where, in addition to writing fiction and blogging, she looks after retired racehorses, and propagates and plants native trees and shrubs.
She has written several novels, all of which she plans to indie publish because, well, why not?
The Isabella Beauchamp Trilogy grew out of a light-hearted homage to Jane Austen – featuring a new heroine – which the author sent, chapter by chapter, to her sister over the course of a winter.
That heroine, Miss Isabella Beauchamp, took on a life of her own, and it was at her insistence – and because the ending of the first book demanded a sequel – that Second Chances was written, which in turn demanded a third volume – Consequences and Conclusions.
Other books by Lynn Myers, which will be published over the coming year or so - watch this space.
A Southerly Change: a fictionalized account of the author’s great-great grandmother’s life.
Margin of Error: an equestrian-themed romance with social justice overtones.
The Giant of Provence: a cycling-themed, slightly noirish romance.
Saz: a contemporary novel about a very angry young woman.

Consequences and Conclusions, the final volume of the trilogy, sees Isabella grow to be an even more outspoken challenger of convention, to the extent that even her wealth and standing might not protect her and those she loves, from those whose entrenched interests she threatens.
